in the style of Arendt

Political Philosophy ·Germany / USA, 20th c.
"The danger arises when the process of checking becomes the purpose of the checking."

Hannah Arendt (1906–1975) was a German-American political theorist, author of The Origins of Totalitarianism and Eichmann in Jerusalem. Her characteristic move is to trace how ordinary procedure and thoughtlessness, rather than monstrous intent, become the machinery of political catastrophe.
